 US Space Ship Launched: April 1, 2026, NASA lunched Artemis ll from KSC, Florida with four astronauts on board, which will do the 10 day test flight around the moon. Artemis ll is primarily manufactured by Lockhead Martin which build the orion Crew capsule; Airbus manufactured the European Service Module (ESM), while Boeing annd Northrop Gruman built the space Launch system (SLS) rocket, with United Launch Alliance (ULA) producing the upper state stage, L3 Harris Technologies created the jettison motor for launch abort system. NASA hopes to land astronauts on the lunar surface in 2028 on the Artemis 4 mission after practicing docking with landers in Earth orbit on Artemis 3 in 2027, then start building a base near the lunar south pole a few years later.

US F-15 E fighter jet shot down in Iran: Iran has shot down a US fighter jet and a search and rescue effort is underway to locate two crew.

Top two US Generals fired: Pete Hegseth fired Army Chief of Staff,  Gen Randy George and Gen David Hodine, in charge of Transformation and Training Command (T2COM) meant to accelerate the services tech development and deployment.

US AG Pam Bondi fired: Trump has fired AG Pam Bondi amid reports of his growing frustration with her failure to prosecute his political enemies and her handling of the Epstein files. Her firing comes just months after a heated congressional hearing in which she refused to apologize to Epstein survivors for the DOJ's failure to fully redact their names in released documents. Bondi was subpoenaed to appear before the House Oversight Committee on April 14 to speak about her handling of the Epstein files.
